Drexcited Another great electro album by FK. A few atmospheric pieces, which are very nice, mixed with mostly desolate, dark electro beats. I can't decide between "Cercle Arctique" and "L'Enfer Blanc". Those are my favorites.

BTW, this release does not have the digital files, as explained in the information text. Bandcamp still says "Record/Vinyl + Digital Album", ignore that. You can't stream / download this.

That shouldn't stop you from getting this quality production, though.

PREVIEW CLIPS - soundcloud.com/bassagenda/franck-kartell-alaska-vinyl-lp-release-15th-september-2017

French sonic sorcerer Franck Kartell is back with ‘Alaska’, his fourth full length album and third vinyl outing on UK imprint Bass Agenda Recordings.

Just like it’s country namesake the album presents a diverse landscape; spacious and enthralling, sparse at times and dense at others.

Departing in some tracks from the particularly dark vibes of his last two Chris Marker inspired albums, Kartell guides the listener through ten lovingly crafted tracks; riding waves of cold light and refreshing beauty, soaring high and lifting the spirit, then swooping down into rugged geological like audio structures below.

As soon as the needle touches the record you find yourself looking through an ethereal lens, perhaps that of a silent drone, slowly filming the landscape from above. You are transfixed, all senses fully engaged as the drama unfolds before you; struck by the magical mystery of how a slowly rotating piece of wax on your turntable can make you feel this way…

Quite possibly the finest album by one of the underground’s most talented electronic music composers.
